The EA+ Premier plan includes our best level of support in a medical emergency while traveling away from home. It includes additional and enhanced services that provide more flexibility and protection during your medical emergency.
Expanded Evacuation provides additional evacuation services on top of the emergency medical evacuation services included in your selected EA+ plan. If a natural disaster, rioting, terrorism, nuclear accident or military uprising threatens your health or safety during a trip, EA+ will arrange and provide for your evacuation to a safe location, and eventually back home.
Extended Family expands your EA+ membership services to your Grandchild(ren), Adult Child(ren), Adult Child’s Spouse, Parent(s), Grandparent(s), Brother(s) or Sister(s) who are traveling with you. When these additional family members travel with you, they gain access to essential EA+ services including Medical Evacuation, Transportation Home, and more.
A Family plan includes protection for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and any dependent children you have (through the age of 18 or if a full-time student, through age 22). Since we know EA+ members frequently travel with additional family members who are NOT their spouse or dependent children, we have provided an option to add-on extra protection for your loved ones. It is called Extended Family. It costs an extra $80 per year on top of your base plan, and extends essential EA+ services to those family members, including Medical Evacuation, Transportation Home, and more. Extended Family covers your Grandchild(ren), Adult Child(ren), Adult Child’s Spouse, Parent(s), Grandparent(s), and Brother(s) or Sister(s), and they MUST be traveling with you in order to be covered.
When you sign up for the family plan, you and your spouse (including domestic partner) and dependents (your unmarried children from birth and through age 18; or through age 22 if enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college, university, vocational, or technical school; and children whose support is required by a court decree; or adult child(ren) or grandchild(ren) with mental or physical disabilities who are solely dependent for maintenance and support. Children include biological children, stepchildren, and legally adopted children. They must be primarily dependent on you for support and maintenance and must live in a parent-child relationship with you. If traveling on a trip without you, they are covered provided the trip does not exceed 90 days).
To protect additional family members who are traveling with you, we also offer an Extended Family add-on that can be purchased for an additional cost during enrollment.
Yes! If you are enrolled in the family membership, your spouse/domestic partner is protected by EA+ whether or not he or she is traveling with you. The family membership gives them access to all of the same services as the primary member.
