Two weeks prior to our visit to Jamaica to celebrate New Year’s Eve I received a pamphlet in the mail. I read through the pamphlet and decided they could not provide the services promised for the amount charged. ($109.00 at that time.) At first, I threw the pamphlet away. Later in the afternoon I had second thoughts and retrieved the pamphlet. I fill it out and sent a check. I was so glad I did. On New Year’s Eve I began bleeding internally. I waited to tell my wife on New Year’s Day what was happening. Staying at a Sandals’ I reported to the nurses on duty. She called in a doctor. It was determined I needed to be hospitalized. I called EA services that afternoon. Sandles employees put me on a bus and took me to the hospital in Montego Bay. That hospital was unable to help me. I need to be in a hospital in the US. A medivac plane was dispatched to Montego by to fly me to Ft Lauderdale. EA plus took care of everything for us. They arranged for an ambulance to take me and my wife to the hospital. We had to leave our luggage behind, so they instructed my wife to go to the local Walmart and buy what we needed. Told my wife to save the receipts and submit them. I was operated on the next day for cancer.
They took care of all the details. They arranged for the flight and transportation. They oversaw my care. The bill came to approximately $25,500.00. They paid it and I never saw a bill. I have been a loyal member since then. I will not travel anywhere without this insurance. Thank you. — Michael D., Florida
